On Sunday 3rd June, visitors to the Heartlands totem circle and café were greeted with some impromptu poetry performances from Abi Wyatt and Duncan Yeates, Duncan kindly reports.

The poets performed four ten minute sets that hopefully entertained those visitors wandering around the visitor centre outside as well as the people enjoying their Jubilee lunch inside.

To add to the spirit of fun, Abi Wyatt gave out balloons with one-off poems for interested visitors to take away.

The Red River Poets and some of their friends are in the process of organizing a monthly residency at Heartlands with the aim of appearing at least once a month.

The next scheduled gig for Red River Poets is June 20th at the Bespoken event at the Farmer’s Arms, Penzance. Please keep checking Cornish Lit for updates.
